Using AirPlay with Maka Kids
Learn how to stream Maka Kids to your TV with AirPlay, control playback from your TV, and keep your session running smoothly.
You can use AirPlay to stream Maka Kids to your TV or other compatible screen. For the smoothest experience, there are a couple of things worth knowing before you start.
Before you begin
AirPlay lets you send what's playing in Maka Kids to a larger screen, like an Apple TV or an AirPlay-compatible smart TV. You'll need your iPhone or iPad and your TV connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Getting the best AirPlay experience
For AirPlay to work reliably with Maka Kids, keep the app open and your device unlocked while streaming. If you lock your device or switch to another app during playback, the stream may stop or behave unexpectedly. To keep your session running smoothly:
- Start playback in Maka Kids and begin streaming to your screen
- Leave the Maka Kids app open and in the foreground
- Keep your device unlocked for the duration of the viewing session
Note: If the stream stops unexpectedly, returning to the Maka Kids app and making sure your device is unlocked will usually get things going again.
A note on your device staying unlocked
Because Maka Kids needs to stay open and your device unlocked during AirPlay, you may want to adjust your device's auto-lock setting so the screen doesn't lock on its own mid-session. You can find this in your device's Settings, under Display & Brightness.
