Setting up your child's profile

Step 1: Enter your child's name

Enter your child's first name or a nickname — whatever feels right for your family. This is how their profile will appear in the app.

Step 2: Choose an avatar

Pick an avatar to represent your child's profile. You can update it anytime from your parent settings.

Step 3: Select an age range

Choose the age range that feels right for your child. This doesn't need to match their exact age — it's a starting point that helps us surface content at the right developmental level. You're always in control and can adjust this anytime.

Step 4: Pick your child's favorite shows

Select the shows your child loves most. This helps Maka Kids prioritize the videos your child is most likely to enjoy. You can update these preferences at any time from your parent settings.

Step 5: Set a session viewing time

Choose how much time your child can spend watching during their Maka session. This sets their daily limit when the app is first opened. You can adjust this at any time from your parent settings.

Note: All of these settings — name, avatar, age range, character preferences, and daily viewing time — can be updated at any time.
