Managing your child's session duration timer

Setting a session duration

During your child's profile setup, you'll be asked to choose a session duration. This sets how long your child can watch before the app lets them know their session is complete.

Adjusting the session duration

To change your child's session duration after setup:

1. Open the Maka app and sign in to your parent dashboard
2. Select your child's profile
3. Tap the session duration setting
4. Choose a new duration and save your changes

Note: Changes take effect the next time your child opens the app.

What happens when the session ends

When your child reaches their session limit, the app gently lets them know their viewing time is complete. This is designed to help children understand and accept the transition, rather than stopping abruptly or without warning.

Your child cannot extend their own session. Changes to the session duration can only be made from your parent dashboard.
