Managing your child's session duration timer

Setting a session duration

During your child's profile setup, you'll be asked to choose a daily session duration. This sets how long your child can watch before the app lets them know their session is complete. You can adjust it at any time from your parent dashboard.

Adjusting the session duration

To change your child's session duration after setup:

1. Open the Maka Kids app and sign in to your parent dashboard
2. Select your child's profile
3. Tap the session duration timer setting
4. Choose a new duration and save your changes

Note: Changes to the session duration take effect the next time your child opens the app.

What happens when the session ends

When your child reaches their session limit, the app gently lets them know their viewing time is complete. This experience is designed to help children understand and accept the transition — rather than stopping abruptly or without warning.Your child cannot extend their own session. Any changes to the session duration can only be made from the parent dashboard.

Note: Session durations reset each day. Unused viewing time does not carry over from one day to the next.
