How your subscription works

Maka subscriptions are billed through Apple. Learn how billing and auto-renewal work, and how to manage or cancel your subscription from the Maka app.

How you're billed

All billing for Maka is handled securely through Apple. You don't need to enter payment information in the Maka app. Your subscription is charged to the Apple account you used to subscribe, on the plan you selected, monthly or yearly.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. To stop it from renewing, cancel at least 24 hours before your current billing period ends.

Note: Canceling does not end your access right away. You'll continue to have full access until the end of your current billing period.

Managing your subscription

You can manage your subscription from inside the Maka app. From there, you can view your current plan and renewal date, change your plan, and cancel.

To get there:

  1. Open the Maka app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Account & Support, tap Manage subscription.

Follow the on-screen steps to make your change. Payment method updates are handled through your Apple account, not in the Maka app.

Canceling your subscription

  1. In the Maka app, go to Settings and tap Manage subscription under Account & Support.
  2. Follow the on-screen steps to cancel and confirm.

Note: After canceling, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. You and your child will continue to have full access to the app until that date.

Refunds

Maka does not process refunds directly. All refund requests are handled by Apple. To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple account, find your Maka purchase in Purchase History, and follow the prompts.
