Navigating the app as a parent or caregiver
Learn how to access your parent dashboard, what you'll find there, and how the child view is kept separate from your caregiver controls.
Signing back in
Each time you open Maka Kids, you can sign in using Face ID or Touch ID. If biometrics are unavailable, you can use your year of birth as a backup to access your parent dashboard.
Note: Biometric access is tied to your device. If you sign in on a new device, you may be prompted to set up biometric access again.
Your parent dashboard
Once signed in, you'll land on your parent dashboard. This is your home base for managing everything in the app. From here you can:
- View and edit your child's profile
- Adjust session viewing time
- Add a new child profile
- Access your account and subscription settings
The child view
When your child opens the app, they see a separate, simplified view designed just for them. It shows their personalized content without access to any caregiver controls or account settings.Your parent dashboard is always protected, either by your biometric or year-of-birth verification. Your child cannot access it.
Note: Only one account per subscription is supported at this time. The ability to add a co-caregiver or partner is planned for a future update.
